The Best Kind of Competition

Veteran Blogathoner and all-round favorite person, Luka, had an idea for something like the Blogathon, only half the length, and a bit more flexible. Since it's blogging + charity, it's Blogarity!.

While everyone is waiting for me to post awards (tonight, I hope!), go take a look and offer your support!

UPDATE: I would just edit my mistake above...but that wouldn't do. Blogarity is the brainchild of two--Luka and the uber-wonderful Pandora! I can't tell you how fantastic it is to see two vets run with this idea.

Ten Days Late...Gah

Many sponsor emails (probably half) are about 10 days late, and it's my fault, and I apologize. I kept sending them out, and finding out not everything had gone, and wondering why the heck not, and trying again. Turns out Dreamhost's email restrictions are much tighter than I thought. That's not their fault--it's mine for misunderstanding.

It will take all weekend to send out emails because of these restrictions. Many people will get dupes, but I figure two or three emails is better than none. They are on the way.

You'll note two things: first, I swapped around and changed some categories. This is because I wanted the categories to fit the great blogs we had, and not try to shoe-horn them into pre-existing stuff. Secondly, there's no set number of nominations for each category. I went by number of votes, and number of folks in that category. For example, if I had 10 people voted on for, say, Food, and two of them had 9 votes each, and three had 6 votes each, I'm not going to arbitrarily drop one of the six-voters so I can get an even four nominees.

Winners will be announced next week, including Cat's Choice and Most Funds Raised.
